On Sunday August 10, 2003 it was our pleasure and honor to welcome T.K.V. Desikachar, Kausthub, Lakshmi and baby Shraddha to The Breathing Project. Family, friends, teachers and students came together for this intimate gathering.

T.K.V. Desikachar invited Leslie's children Jai and Sasha to come and sit with him. T.K.V. Desikachar composed several poems, sang by Breathing Project teacher, Astrud Castillo, about the importance of breath. T.K.V. Desikachar spoke about the value of community and finding a place, like the Breathing Project, where people could come together to learn, teach and find inspiration. The traditional Indian offering of a coconut a was blessed by the good energy of everyone in the room. Kausthub joined T.K.V. Desikachar in some chanting. T.K.V Desikachar, joined by Breathing Project founder Leslie Kaminoff, spoke of how he first met Leslie many years ago. Over time their relationship has grown into a friendship.
