Jeanne Reilly

Jeanne Reilly became interested in Gyrotonic® through her career as a professional dancer. After experiencing a lack of satisfaction with traditional strength training and physical therapy, she was amazed by the system’s ability to rid her body of injury, strengthen her center exponentially, and allow for a glorious freedom of movement. Ever since, she has dedicated herself to sharing this learning with all types of people (professional dancers, athletes, senior citizens, yogis, children, pre- and post-natal women, those recovering from a multitude of injuries, and the “average exerciser.”)

Jeanne has studied with many enriching teachers on her path to explore movement and the body. She trained as an instructor of the GYROTONIC® EXPANSION SYSTEM with a variety of master teachers, as well as with Juliu Horvath, the system’s creator. She has studied anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff and Sabrina Pillars, nutrition at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College of Columbia University. Additionally, she trained as a classical dancer at The Joffrey Ballet School, and has performed with a variety of ballet and modern dance companies around the United States.

She currently teaches Gyrotonic®, Gyrokinesis® (“mat” version of Gyrotonic®), and offers nutritional counseling at studios and private homes around Manhattan.
