Open House: Friday-Sunday, November 17-19, 2006

Open House

Friday:

  • Restorative Yoga & Reiki (also Sat): Lying around on pillows was never so incredibly beneficial! Receive hands-on Reiki healing as you relax into yoga positions completely supported by pillows, bolsters and blankets.
  • Family Yoga: Kids and their families are invited to explore their bodies through yoga poses, cooperative games and great music. We’ll become a variety of animals, learn fun breathing exercises, and build our brains by using our senses.
  • Arts & Crafts: A half an hour of creative art projects to add to the fun after Family Yoga!

Saturday:

  • Madras Style Yoga: Do your own practice, our way. Come in and get expert help to go deeper into your personal yoga routine, to ask questions, or to learn a new way to experience the same old, same old.
  • Wake Up Yoga: Learn how to use yoga to wake up your body and breath awareness. Warm up the muscles while protecting the joints. Energize your entire system!
  • Meditation: Slow down, you move too fast! Join us for a look at how to begin a daily meditation practice or to deepen your existing practice.
  • Pre-Natal Yoga: Strengthen your pelvic floor, release tension, and meet other women with growing bellies and big expectations!
  • Mom/Dad & Baby Yoga: Twinkle your little stars! Experience the benefits of yoga poses, breathing, stretching, and singing for both you and your baby.
  • Yoga and the Endocrine System Workshop: This workshop will explore the glands of the endocrine system and their role as enegetic supports for the spine through movement and sound. ($20. suggested donation)

Sunday:

  • Beginner Vinyasa: Learn the basics of a vinyasa class with special attention to alignment and breathing.
  • Exhale, Release! Extend your exhale through a sequence of asanas. Heat your belly as you build your core strength. Relaxing, yet energizing.
  • Inhale, Receive! Extend your inhale through the same sequence of asanas. Heat your chest as you build your back and upper torso strength. Energizing, yet relaxing.
  • Safe & Sound Yoga TM: Use your voice! A gentle meditative practice incorporating the healing vibrations of sound.
  • Tai Chi from the Inside Out: Explore the meaning and feeling of these ancient movements in your body. An introductory class which will also include cooperative partnering exercises usually only found in more advanced classes.
